You can opt for Upgradation option. If yoi opt for Upgradation of your seat, you will not lose the seat allotted in the first round even if you participate in the 2nd round. And if your seat is upgraded, then the seat alloted in the first round will be cancelled automatically. The seats are allotted by the online process on the basis of merit cum priority.
