The number of companies visiting the college is continuously increasing from 2014 to 2017.
The percentage of placed students is usually good (between 65% to 85%). Out of all the engineering courses chemical engineering , computer science engineering , and Food technology students have the highest placements.
HIT Scholarship-
The institute supports students by providing scholarships to them. It also encourages meritorious but financially weak students by giving Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme as per AICTE norms.
The students of this college are of the opinion that,
'the location of the college is also good. The laboratories are well equipped. Faculties are humble and helpful.College infrastructure is nice with large playground basketball ground. Fee structure is not much expensive when comapared with facilities provided. Total tuition fees to be paid for 4years is just Rs.3,50,000 Hostel fees is Rs.12,000 without food. First semester fee is Rs. 62000 and all other 7 semester fee ranges from Rs. 40000-45000.
Since last 5 years, there has been 100% placement for the students of Food Technology. Training is provided to the students from 2nd year who are eligible. The college arramges seminar and workshops for every student. Scholarships are also arranged by college.

So overall this is a good college to opt for.
TECHNO-INDIA UNIVERSITY-
Techno India University (TIU), Kolkata is a Private University in Kolkata. The college is affiliated to WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology), approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and Accredited by the AICTE and NBA. It is a Business school in West Bengal. The University aims at facilitating and promoting studies, research, technology, innovation, incubation and extension work in the fields of Engineering, Science & Computer Application, Humanities, Commerce, and Management education to achieve excellence in higher education. TIU admissions in Engineering is through WBJEE, JEE Main and Techno Joint Entrance Exam (TNJEE).
This university has 5 departments and has the hostel facilities for both Girls and Boys. The library facility is also fine with nearly 19953 total books.
Techno India University Placement
Techno India University really stands apart and that is the only reason of half-a-million strong alumnus that includes B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D., which has produced outstanding technology and management leaders over the years, encompassing a wide gamut of outstanding global corporate houses, research facilities and educational institutions. Today university’s 5 Lakhs alumni are happily working all across the globe in leading MNCs and many are pursuing their higher studies in World’s top Universities.
A few students are of the opinion that 'the classes don't run smoothly and very much regularly. The faculty is fine but students have to study by themselves more.
The fees is quite expensive here. Course fee for B.TECH is 6.48 LAKHS.
The whole techno India group has a pool placement, so there are a quite big number of companies coming for it. If you are able to prove yourself capable for the post (in placements) then you have higher chances of getting hired. There are no internships provided by the college but they help you if you are able to get one. They provide you leave for the period of time of internship.
The laboratories are good. Seniors are helpful. Campus life is also satisfactory. The college has fine infrastructure also. Various events for entertainment are also conducted time to time.
The college provides some percentage scholarship to the students if you have good 10+2 score and have done well in entrance exam. Apart from this the college helps students to get scholarships and aid from the government, especially to those who are needy. '
So, this college also has its plus and minus points. Now it depends upon what parameters you consider important for selection of any college for getting admissions.
All the best! :)
If you want to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, CAT,GRE etc then you can go for any one of them.I would suggest you to choose HIT as it is a little better.Un the end environment and all these stuffs don't matter much if you are really dedicated for what you want to achieve in life. All you need is focus and hard and smart work for success.
I hope this helps.
