According to the current eligibility criteria set up by UPSC, the body which conducts the NDA examination candidates between age limit of 16.5 to 19.5 years, can apply online for the National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) 2022 exam.  Also the minimum educational requirement says that the candidate should have passed 12th standard from State Education Board or a University or may be an appearing candidate.

So following that you have two attempts left that is NDA 2 2023 and NDA 1 2024 (if born before 1st July) else only one attempt in 2023.

As you have not mentioned your exact date of birth telling the accurate number of attempts is a bit difficult but since you are currently 17 years hold, I would like to inform you that the candidates who are of 16.5 years or above and not more than 19.5 years are eligible for the exam.

So you would get plenty of time to prepare well for the exam, coming to the attempts part you will get approximately 2 attempts to clear the exam that is NDA 2 2023 and NDA 1 2024 ( if you are born before 1st July) or else you will get only one attempt that is in 2023.
