National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate (MBBS/BDS/Ayush Courses) every year.
As per Government of India, it is a mandated requirement to qualify NEET Exam to study medical courses in India.
Candidates scoring more than or equal to 147-720 in GN and 113-146 in other categories have qualified NEET Cut off and are eligible for the admission process.
The online counselling process is conducted by MCC for 15% AIQ seats.
Eligibility criteria for NEET
- Must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent in PCB.
- Qualifying marks in class 12 - 50% marks GN-PH - 45% SC/ST & OBC - 40%
- Age Limit -17 years as on 31st Dec, 2021 No current upper age limit.
Application form
- NEET application fee is INR 1500 for GN, INR 1400 for EWS, and INR 800 for other category candidates
- The fees can be paid online while filling NEET 2021 Application form.
- Other than that you will also be required to upload the documents as per the format prescribed by NTA.
- You can correct mistakes that you have committed in the form on the dates given.
NTA is expected to release NEET 2021 Exam Pattern tentatively in the month of January 2021.
Based on the previous year exam pattern, the entrance exam comprises of 180 multiple choice questions divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Physics and Chemistry sections include 45 questions each, while the Biology section comprises 90 problems to be solved in a total time of 180 minutes.
As per NEET Exam Pattern, test-takers will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
