Dear Chinta,
It is all relative, it all depends on what you find interesting and are passionate about. MBA is said to be more lucrative but the amount of investment is equally high, highly depends upon what college you take admission in (what college you get from the CAT score) and your performance in MBA decides what kind of salary you would draw. There are people who spend 14-20 lakh on their MBA and are able to get a job of just 7-8 lakh per annum CTC which translates to 6-7 lakh per annum money in hand and people who get admission in good MBA college like IIM, FMS, Jamnalal Bajaj etc they spend the same amount but reap a package of 14-20 lakh. Some people who pursued M. Tech and M.Sc fare well in their career since they went on a path which excited them and they were good at it, therefore, have a lucrative salary as well.
At the end what matters is that whether you like it and are good at it, that is the way you can earn the most.
