How about the teaching of your college and is there any job opportunities after completing b.sc nursing?
Hello archana,
BSc Nursing is a four year course which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. After finishing BSc in Nursing they can opt for MSc in nursing which will improve their prospects in the job market. They can specialize in psychiatry, Medical-Surgical, Community Health and Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Those who want to take up jobs can join as Nursing Advisors to the Indian Government, Nursing Assistants/Supervisors, Teachers and Nursing Superintendents.
Nurses do not remain unemployed. They easily get jobs in private and government run hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, old age homes, industries, sanatoriums and the armed forces. They can also seek employment in the Indian Red Cross Society, Indian Nursing Council, State Nursing Councils and various other nursing institutions. Even nurses who have completed the ANM course get to work as primary health workers and midwifes in primary health care centres that are spread throughout the length and breadth of the country.
Nurses can also take up administrative and teaching positions in medical colleges and nursing schools.
Hope this helps
