In NIT Surathkal, Mangalore, the placements is around 93%. The highest package offered is about INR 40 Lacs per annum and the least will be around INR 10 lacs per annum. Top companies like ONGC, pharmaceutical chemicals, etc. came for placements. Nearly 92-96% of students will get paid or unpaid internships in pharmaceutical companies, software companies, etc. The placement is 79 percent and also the top MNC's like Google, Microsoft, IBM, Intel etc. come to recruit, last year with salaries ranging from 5 LPA to 37 LPA. Chemical engineering has good placement but are of non-core companies.
