Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology Shibpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India. It has been ranked at 45th position by NIRF among universities of India. In Engineering, it has received a rank at 21st position. IIEST Shibpur is far better than many NITs and have proper placements for Information technology students. CSE and IT grab most of the placements. But if you carefully observe the placement scenario in IIEST, the no. Of the students who are getting placed in service based companies is very high like Accenture, CTS, IBM, Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc. More than 90% students get placed in reputed companies with an average package of 5 to 5.5 lpa.
