Hello aspirant,

The process involved to become Professor is mentioned below.

If you want to start teaching at University level then you should have completed Master's degree in any of the field you are interested or wish to teach. Also you should qualify in UGC NET entrance exam.

You can start teaching as Lecturer and then study Ph.D simultaneously so that you can become Professor. Only after completing Ph.D you can become Professor only Master's degree is not sufficient to become Professor.

You should have completed Bachelor's degree with minimum 55 % marks from a recognised University or College and then Master's degree in any stream of your choice or in subject you wish to teach and later Ph.D in the subject you are interested to become Ph.D Professor.

After all these steps completion you can become Professor. You can even try for Profesor in government colleges.

I hope this helps.

All The Best!!
