Hi
As per your question To grow to be a professor, you will want to appear for the UGC-NET exams for
lecturership. The eligibility test for academics, National Eligibility Test (NET), is conducted by means of
UGC, CSIR or comparable tests accredited by the UGC.
The State level take a look at SLET is for appointments in the state. The promotion is based on
performance, duration of service, and studies publications. College teachers require a very good
academic document with at least 55% or an equivalent grade at masters diploma degree in the relevant
challenge from an Indian University. On finishing touch of a majority of these criterias, you may become
a lecturer
Once you have completed your M.Com, you can similarly do a PhD to improve your career prospects as
a professor or a reader. However there's no age limit for lecturership or even to do a PhD
Hope helpful

Greetings, aspirant!
To build a career in teaching, you first need to get a degree in the field of your choosing. You can either get a bachelor's degree or a master's or even a PhD depending on whether you wish to teach at a school level or become a lecturer for students pursuing a higher education.
After that, you need to get a degree in education such as B.ed or M.ed. You can either teach in a government Institution, which is difficult to join but has more benefits in general, or you can get a job in a private Institute that only requires you to have certain qualifications.
You can appear for UGC-NET if you wish to apply for the position of an assistant professor or a junior research fellowship and Assistant Professor both.
Hope this information helps
Best of luck!!
