Hi,

Hope you are doing well!

Admission to bsc astrophysics is done on the basis of both merit and entrance exams. Some of the common  entrance exams for Astrophysics courses are BITSAT, IIT JEE, IUCAA NCRA etc.

In order to be eligible for bsc astrophysics, candidate must pass class 12 from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent with mathematics and physics as the main subject.

For Msc in astrophysics you need to complete graduation from a recognized University with a minimum required percentage of 50 to 60, which varies in different colleges. There is no age limit to get admission in M.Sc. Most of the colleges take admission in M.Sc on the basis of entrance exams like IIT JAM, NEST(National Entrance Screening Test), DUET(Delhi University Entrance Test).

In order to get admission in Ph.D in Astrophysics, then you need to apply through GATE, CSIR NET, JEST or TIFR and get admission in IUCAA, IIA, HRI and so on.

Hello Sachit

The minimum eligibility for BSc in Astrophysics is 10+2 in the science stream with compulsory subjects like Maths and Physics . If you have studied physics and maths in your 12th, then you are eligible for the course. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER): The IISER Aptitude Test is conducted at the national level for admissions to its B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs at any of the seven institutes across India.
