Hello,
Calculating separately is nothing but the marks scored in individual subject. If you are asked to calculate the percentage of marks scored in Mathematics in a particular class you will have to use the formula given below
Percentage of marks= (marks scored in the subject/total marks for which the exam is conducted)*100
For example let's assume that you have scored 80 marks in Mathematics and the total marks is for 100 marks. Then the percentage will calculated as (80/100)*100=80. It means that you have scored 80% marks in individual subject. Similarly you can also calculate the marks scored in Chemistry and Physics individually. Now the marks scored in each individual subject will be given in the certificate. You have to check the certificate to know the marks. In case grades or GPA is mentioned in the certificate you can calculate the marks scored using the formula that is prescribed by the institute/university. You will have to enquire in the respective college examination department to know the formula or the formula will be mentioned in the certificate. Please check it.
