Hello,

For a test like JEE Mains, students start preparing months back. 20 days seems like a pretty small time period to prepare. But don’t be too worried if you are in this complicated situation. By using efficacious techniques, you would be able to prepare enough to get you through the exams.

·

Do not stress out! Students tend to go in a state of frenzy while preparing for JEE Mains because of all of the hearsay surrounding it about how complex they are. You already have only 20 days so, you do not have time to stress out right now. Being calm is the way you need to go about right now. Get enough sleep and eat proper, this will help you study with more concentration.

·

You have to focus on your strengths at this time. The time to learn new things is over so do not waste your time trying to grasp on new concepts and topics. Figure out what your strengths are and start practicing. Revise what you already know. Go through the chapters that you are good at. Practice and practice to help you retain knowledge.

·

Since you have 20 days to prepare, you must make sure that you manage your time constructively. The best way to do that is to make a time- table. Take out 20 minutes to create a time-table and list out what subjects and what topics to study on which day. Make sure to follow the time-table because you really do not have any time to procrastinate.

·

Get the relevant books. Make sure to not drown yourself in a lot of books, search for the best ones and revise them over and over.

·

Take regular breaks during the study sessions. The breaks help you relax and stop your mind from getting over-worked.

·

Solve the past papers and solve them under time constraints while using a stop watch. This will amp your time-management skills which are very important for solving a paper like JEE Mains. Try to solve at least one whole question paper every day.

·

When you solve question papers, look at the answers you got wrong and check for the theory behind them. Although it is advised to not learn new topics at this point, still checking the wrong answers will help you leave behind some memory of it in case a similar question appears in the exams.

·

Take training classes and test series. I know 20 days is less time but trust me, training classes are going to help you prepare and test series will help you

Remember to ease yourself up one day before the exam. Students usually don’t get proper sleep the night before the exam which is not the right way to go about. Get enough sleep and wake up fresh before appearing for the exam.

Day 1: Read short notes on 6-7(3 chem,2 Phy, 2 Maths) chapters and solve their questions.

Day 2: Continue as in day 1.

Day 3,Day 4,Day 5, Day 6,,Go on.

On Day 7, Try resolving the problems which you took time to solve or had to look at solution to understand.

Do this for Physics, Maths and Physical Chemistry.

Time Table

I say, make a time-table.

Wake up at 6 am.

6:30 to 7:30 -> Inorganic. (NCERT)

8 to 9 -> Inorganic.

10-12 -> Organic. (NCERT, 1 hour learning important reaction, 1 hour solving).

2-5 -> Physics

6-8 -> Physical Chemistry.

9-12 midnight -> Maths.

I usually used to study my interesting subjects later and boring ones earlier in the morning.

Best of Luck with preparations and exams..!! :) :)

If you have prepared well before then you can target for 200 marks but if you haven't prepared it then 12 days won't be sufficient to score 200 marks but here we assume that you are preparing from long time and you are asking for final preparation in the last to score so here are thumb rule keep focus on NCERT books strengthen your topics select each type of questions of different types and then practice them to the final solution don't go to solve repeated questions just practice unique problems go through NCERT Chemistry again and again and have a look at the previous years question and only solve those questions in which you find difficulty but you are good in the topic.
