Hello
When you learned a programming language then do comptetive codingsites like hackerrank, make sure you practice one problem daily. Participate in various hackathon events happening in and out of your college.
Try to participate in events like GSoC and try hard to reach top positions of these events.
you have get GSOC certificate then they can consider you .also, your GOPA should be maintain properlyin all the semesters
Hope you are doing well. If you are not a student of IIT of NIT, then if will be a difficult task for you. The main thing that you need to gain is the experience. Maybe in any of the company. Try getting placed through campus drive and work for some years in that company and gain experience and apply manually to Google Company. Google mainly prefers the experienced candidates as it is the company providing highest salary package in the world. You need to focus on the different subjects in your branch as well. I hope you got the point after reading this answer.
All the best.
Dear candidate...... hope you're doing good..
Well, getting a job in Google mainly depends upon the type and reputation of the college at which you're persueing your b.tech degree. If there is no placement drive by Google in your college, then you may not get hired at gooGoo at the time of placement. But you may still different internships and other training programs offered by Google for the engineering students and apply for jobs published by gooGoo time to time.
Feel free to ask your queries.....
All the best:)
