How can I get admission for integrated course M Tech in VIT vellore...????
For the M.Tech Software engineering program (5-year), the admission is quite simple, your VITEEE is not mandatory, although if you have a rank, it might be helpful, if you had a good rank in VITEEE, it could give you an edge over others. Now, for an Indian resident and citizen, the following are the admission requirements
- Completed 12 years of schooling with a valid transfer certificate and a mark sheet.
- Minimum of 60% overall average marks in the 12th standard exams and a minimum of 60% in (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics)
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1995 are eligible to apply
- But if you fall under the international category, International category refers to
- Foreign Nationals
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
- Children of Indian Nationals working abroad
- Non Resident Indians (NRI)
If you are one of the following, then you are exempt from taking the VITEEE exam, but still you need to fulfill these following requirements
- Completed 12 years of schooling (Equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education) / Diploma awarded with
- For admission to UG courses, candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education)
- Minimum of 70% overall average.(Usually it is Grade ‘C’, to be produced with equivalent marks)
- Five year integrated program for M.Tech. Software Engineering minimum of 70% in (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics)
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1995 are eligible to apply
- For candidates having NRI status, the Sponsorship should be given only by the parent (either father or mother) living abroad [Sponsorship by relative / friend is not acceptable]
- NRI candidates should produce Employer Certificate of the sponsor (either Father or Mother)
- Valid passport and Visa copies
About your counselling, you will be having a separate session for which the dates will be announced in the coming days, you need to be in touch with the VIT website where they post periodic updates about your admission, important dates, news,etc.
