how can i get admission for MSc physics in NIT

Admission to M.Sc Physics in NIT is based on merit in IIT-JAM. So you need to appear for IIT-JAM. The eligibility criteria to get admission to M.Sc Physics is that you must have studied Physics and Mathematics for two year or two semesters in the qualifying examination that is bachelor's degree from a recognized board. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 55% aggregate marks or 5,5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in the qualifying exam. If you belong to SC/ST/PWD you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks or 5.0 CGPA on 10 point scale from a recognized board. Candidates qualifying in IIT-JAM will be eligible to get admission. The qualifying cut off is course and category specific. Each institute has different cut off rank for each course. You need to score above the qualifying cut off score to have decent chances of getting admission in NIT.

in order to secure a seat for yourself at NIT for your Master's degree in the stream of Physics, you will first be required to appear for an entrance exam called JAM. Upon clearing the examination with the required qualified score, then you will have to attend the counselling rounds.
