Hi

First of all you need to appear in NEET examination as it is the single gateway/ entrance exam for admission  in all the medical colleges be it private or government  including AIIMS and JIPMER  for

  • MBBS

  • BDS

  • Ayush courses( Ayurveda i. e BAMS , Unani i.e B. U. M. S, Siddha i. e BSMS, and Homeopathy i.e BHMS ) and

  • veterinary i. e BVSc.  ( for BVsc some states also have their own entrance like RPVT in Rajasthan for state quota seats).

In  state like Maharashtra,  NEET is also accepted for admission in BSC nursing .

Now,

In order to appear in NEET you need to be eligible for it

Eligibility criteria for NEET is given below:-

As per Neet 2021 eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

After neet,

You need to participate in counselling

There are 2 quotas under which a seat is provided in a Medical College through Neet examination


----)15 % All India quota counselling :- it is conducted by DGHS on behalf of MCC. All the neet qualified students are eligible for 15% all India quota accept for Jammu and Kashmir candidates as Jammu and Kashmir doesn't participate in all India counselling


---) 85 % state quota  counselling :- it is conducted by respective states. Only students who are  domicile of that state are eligibile.
