For getting admission in Anna University,For getting admission in BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch you can go merit in TNEA and NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for B.Arch program and for getting admission in ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ MBA and MCA you can go through TANCET and ME/ M.Tech through gate also. For M.Sc and M.Phil courses Anna University will conducts a entrance exam.

The applications for Anna University 2020 will be available online. The exam to gt into the University are Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test ( TANCET ) & Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission ( TNEA ).
The application starts by the 1st week of May and last date of application will be somewhere in the last week of May tentatively.
For preparation of TANCET:
The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is a two hour offline test carrying a total of 100 marks. The eligibility criteria for the MBA course is to have completed graduation from any recognized University in any discipline.

For the Reading Comprehension and English Usage, the following are suggested: High School English Grammar & Composition by Wren and Martin, Upkar’s Correct your Common errors in English and Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
For the section on Quantitative ability, the following are suggested: Quantitative Aptitude by S.N. Jha, Magical Books on Quicker Maths by M Tyra and Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by R. S. Aggarwal
For the section on Data Sufficiency, the following are suggested: A Comprehensive Study of Data Interpretation Analysis and Sufficiency by Ashok Gupta and Data Interpretation MBA Entrance by Jaiswal
Make a study plan beforehand which you can follow and also refer these books for reference. Divide your time according to the syllabus and familiarise yourself with the material and the question-paper pattern. A time-bound practice is recommended. Revision is extremely important.
