Hello,
Hope you are doing well!
Both biotechnology and biomedical engineering can be studied at a postgraduate level through an MSc degree . You will generally be required to have studied in a related field or the same subject area to be accepted.
This can offer better career prospects. Apart from this one can take up research in Biomedical field - in institutes like IIT Delhi, etc. Genetics and everything under it and research on the same for betterment of mankind comes under the scope of Biotechnology. According to me biomedical is better than biotechnology.
Both biotechnology as well as biomedical engineering overlap to some extent, but are different. Basically, if a student has interest in medicine, then Biomedical Engineering may be a better choice, whereas if the student is more interested in biology and microbiology, in such a cases biotechnology may be opted.
Hope it helps!
Thank you!
