You didn't mentioned the name of the college which you are talking about.

In general, if you want take admission to btech or UG course related to your diploma provided that you have to qualify the lateral entry examination corresponding to your state as well as you should atleast 45% marks in your diploma in order to be eligible.

Although this eligibility criteria changes from college to college but the case of examination is true for most of the college offering lateral entry seats.
