NTA has declared the JEE MAINS 2021 Result yesterday ( 8th March ,2021 ) on their official website ( jeemain.nta.ac.in )
According to the data that have been shared by NTA :
TOTAL NO. OF REGISTERED CANDIDATES : 6,61,776
6,52,627 registered themselves to appear for Paper 1 (BE/Btech) and 63,065 registered themselves to appear for Paper 2 (BArch and BPlanning)
As per some sources,
A total of 6,20,978 aspirants appeared for JEE MAIN 2021 (February) for Paper 1.
To ensure the equity in assessing the performance of all the appearing candidates, the exam conducting authority (NTA) introduced the percentile system based on the normalization process . NTA uses the given below formula to calculate the percentile score of a test taker .
The formula to calculate JEE Main percentile score of a candidate:
100 x (Number of candidates appeared in the 'Session' with raw score Equal TO OR LESS than the candidate)
/
(Total number of aspirants who have appeared in the 'Session')
