CLAT is a National level law entrance exam.

There are 5 major sections in CLAT exam:

English ( including comprehension)

Legal Aptitude

Logical reasoning

Elementary Mathematics

General knowledge and current affairs

So firstly and most importantly, learn to manage time . Students use to spend a lot of time in solving numericals and logical reasoning questions and ignore rest of the sections.

So give equal importance to each and every subject and prepare well.

Legal Aptitude is important and questions come from following areas:

Contract act

Indian constitution

Law of tort

Criminal law

No need to go in deep details of every topic but have a good grasp of fundamental tenets on which law are framed.

For GK and current affairs there is no particular source to study from. So cover all the sports, literature , art and science related important awards and achievements. Read English newspapers editorial and opinion columns to improve your English.

For logical reasoning , most popular topics are: coding - decoding, para- jumbles, syllogism, family / blood relation, ranking and order, pairing data, calendar, puzzles, logical sequences, directions, , non verbal reasoning

For Mathematics , just go through your NCERT level Mathematics books , practice questions and keep revision formulas .

Study grammar from your school grammar textbooks.

Practice from previous year question papers. Manage your time properly . Read magazines, newspapers, novels , journals. Manage your time properly.

Discuss difficult topics, keep asking your doubts from a teacher or a mentor. Try not to leave anything from your syllabus, pay equal attention to each and every section of the syllabus. Follow the marking scheme.

And most importantly, do not panic. think positive and pay attention towards your preparation.
