The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) conducts the PGIMER entrance exam to select candidates for admission to postgraduate programmes in medical science such as the DM/MCH, Research Fellowship, and Medical diploma. This exam is conducted by PGIMER Chandigarh in Online CBT Mode. All questions are of the MCQ type and the duration of the PGIMER exam is three hours. There is a provision for negative marking in the exam. During preparation, you can try to finish the minor subjects which include Forensic, Radiology, Anaesthesia, Psychiatry, Skin, and Orthopaedics. The major subjects are Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Surgery, Pathology, and Biochemistry and Immunology. However, the intermediate subjects include Physiology, Paediatrics, Anatomy, ENT, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, Pharmacology and PSM. You can try to complete the previous year papers which will make you become more familiar with the question format and get a sense of the difficulty of questions asked in the PGIMER exam.
