The best way to prepare for General Knowledge is reading newspaper on a daily basis, so you can choose The Hindu or Indian Express. You can also go through monthly compilations available in various sites online. There are also monthly magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan.
For statis portion, you can refer the Lucent book which is mostly used by aspirants,if you have time you can also go through NCERT books because concepts are explained in easy manner. Also, go through previous year question paper, it's very important because SSC does repeat questions often.
