Hello,

Marine biologists study life in the oceans, and sometimes the oceans themselves.

Marine biology is the study of organisms and ecosystems in the ocean and other saltwater environments.

It is a learning and research field and marine scientists study the interactions of marine plants and animals with coastal areas and the atmosphere.

To study Marine Biology you need to have a good background preferably in a relevant science subjects such as: Biology; Chemistry; Marine Science; Geography; Geology; or Mathematics.

Ideally two of your A-Levels (or equivalent) need to be in a science subject.

Marine biologists can be employed at places, such as university research laboratories, private companies, government research laboratories, and non-profit environmental advocacy organizations.

The colleges offering various courses related to Marine Biology: Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. Karnatak University, Karnataka, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat.
