hi sanchitha,i appreciate your determination, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck

Hello

My first question is if you are strong in physics and zoology , are you well versed with all the topics which are included at the class 12 level curriculum according to the boards as well?

Yes, then let me make it very clear to you that you must be aimimg to answer around 70 to 80% of all the questions that are asked.

So you might be able to attend somewhere around 8290 out of the 180 questions because they will be parts from other domains a Biology like microbiology, biotechnology, animal and plant physiology, genetics, and botany as well as well as from organic inorganic and physical chemistry

So even if I presume that you are able to answer around 30 out of those remaining 100 questions correctly via basic concepts or guesswork that should not be sufficient for you to get a 600 + score

Yes if you are already dedicated to solving MCQ Zayn have a concept from all chapters across all the three subjects then I would have advised you to give mock examinations link special stress on electrodynamics, Mechanics, organic chemistry reaction sequences and reaction mechanism, nomenclature, metallurgical alloy Sciences, ionic balancing and chemical bonding chapters so as to maximize your scoring and chances of getting a better rank in the examination

Hope the advice helps, thank you

Scoring well needs effort in the right direction along with consistency in your efforts.

Since you're targeting at such a wonderful score, it will demand from you a proportionate amount of efforts which is again very legit.

If you've joined a coaching institution for the same, your mentors might be guiding you already. Apart from that here a re a few things that you can consider following -

Be attentive the classroom when something is being taught and complete studying that topic by yourself that very day. Do not procrastinate.

Practice MCQs and get your doubts clarified as soon as you get them. Whenever you make mistakes in examinations at institute level make sure you take a follow up action and never repeat that mistake again in subsequent examinations.

Hi

Always have the intention to learn more, there's no saturation point in the field of Biology

Coming to the question

PHYSICS

2 yrs back During my PMT Preparations I used to assume, I studied everything about a particular topic but I faced difficulties while solving problems. So Please be sure whether you've covered all possible question models and not stick only to Formulas and theory.

Book - Cengage (Go through the example problems )

Solving - Universal Self Scorer

BIOLOGY

Give thorough reading of NCERT. Try not to deviate from the syllabus of NEET since the content is vast.

You are lucky enough to study CBSE, myself coming from the state of Tamil Nadu had to cope both state board and to prepare for NEET/any other PMT.

Book - Dr. Ali's Objective Biology(Contains mcqs from each line of Bio Ncert book + Additional relevant topics)

- NCERT Fingertips

In AIIMS Exam

In addition to normal subjects,

Know about the happenings, read newspapers atleast the headers

Will be asked in General knowledge.

Have a heathy relationship with your seniors, they might help you in books, assignments, etc. Or you can buy used books in OLX or any retail store if available

Goodluck

Hello Sanchita,

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.

Try to clock 100 hours a week.

Maintain your health

Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.

Form a study group, discuss with friends

Stay motivated.

No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.

Donot waste time, invest time.

Revisions are the most important

It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hello Sanchita,

As per ur query about  scoring 600 + in NEET i would  like to tell you ,Now you are in 11 std...so you will be attempting NEET UG 2019 , which is around1 yr and 5 months from now...so you have to make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....you have to devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation

Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.

BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there

KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books

Biology -

Truemans Biology Vol. 1 & 2

Objective Biology by Dinesh

Pradeep Publications Biology

Physics -

Concept of physics by H C Verma

Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep

Objective physics by DC Pandey

Chemistry -

Arihant Organic Chemistry

Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic

Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon

Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG

Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK

Dear Rai

If you are able to tell that you're strong in physics and zoology, you need to score in those subject at least cent marks.  That the real meaning of the strong and also if you are strong or weak in physics or zoology, it doesn't mean that you don't want to concentrate on remaining subjects right.  So you have one positive and try to make  yourself strong in remaining subjects. Do practise a lot except physics you need to concentrate on remaining subjects on how to remember those like that..

Please do take care of that.

All the best.

If you are like that, then concentrate on passing of 11 & 12. Don't go into NEET. If you crack 12 then you have more opportunities. NEET is tough. Please don't go into that.
