Dear Aspirant,
Firstly, let me make this clear to you that the path you have chosen is a long road ahead. You need to keep this in mind. That being said, you need to start bit by bit. With the onset of internet, it's easy for you to connect with budding directors. Firstly, be a professional & ask their managers if they'd be open to discussing with you an opportunity. You need to form a portfolio for your case. Have some samples ready for yourself. Send emails to their managers & established ones & look if anyone is open to offering work to you. Bit by bit, build your network, attend conferences where you can possibly meet these directors & pitch yourself. Increase your chances of somehow I'm getting in touch with those people. Extensive networking will make your case a bit easy. Once you get in the community of these people, things might look a bit easy. But be consistent with your approach, draw out a plan for you pitching yourself & your sample work so that stuff becomes easy when someone asks for you to audition in less time. Be open & easy to conversate with. Keep pushing yourself as this won't be easy at first.
Thanks.
