Hello Aspirant,

If you want to start your preparation for IES exam, you most definitely can. First, start looking for the details online. You can join in a good coaching centre that is available around you or you can enrol yourself in an online coaching program. There's no particular number of attempts are there in the exam. But you have to meet the age criteria which is minimum 21 and maximum of 30 years in case of general category. As IES is UPSC related you can visit the official website for information.

Of course, you can definitely self-study for this. There's everything available online which you can access easily. First try looking for previous year papers so that you will have a clear idea what exactly you have to prepare for. Be consistent. You have enough time in your hand. So try to give 1 or 2 hr as per your convenience each day. Yes, practice makes a man perfect. Do it regularly. If you have some doubts you can ask your professors or you can ask in any community related to this field.
