How Can I upgrade industrial design engineering branch to cse in nit rourkela in 1st year

Hello Pradosh,

You can upgrade to CSE branch from industrial design engineering by scoring 9 cgpa + in your first semester. If you have scored 9+ cgpa you should contact the admission officer of your college office and tell them that you want to change your branch  to CSE. They will consider your option and allot you CSE branch only if you have 9 cgpa and above in your 1st semester.

Hi there.

If your college support management seat admission then you can exchange your seat against CSE . Its generally call ACAP ( Against CAP) . Otherwise you can change your stream in second year , but the chances remain very low .

And if your college do not support management then there is no way you can change your stream . You have to continue on your own seat .
