hi rahul, 10 months is a good time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck
Dear aspirant, the time of few months before the exams is basically the "revising time". So, during this period you must do the following things:-
1. Revise ncert properly
2. Go through your class notes
3. Prepare a time table and stick to it
4.Devote some extra times to difficult topics
5. PRACTICE!!! Practising is the key, try solving as many MCQs, sample papers as you can
Best of luck!
Hope it helps :)
If you have ten months remaining for NEET, you have the option of choosing whether to utilize that time through self-study or by joining coaching classes. Joining the one year classes on offer at various coaching institutes will help you become part of a larger established system and the strategies and roadmaps devised by them should suffice in helping you prepare well. However, if you are planning to engage in self-study, then the following pointers should prove to be helpful.
1. Clear your concepts
- All your preparation in the last ten months should be aimed at clearing your concepts. Thoroughly revise the topics of both Class XI and Class XII NCERT.
- If you do not understand or are weak in any topic, focus on clearing that first and revise the same multiple times.
2. Choose Proper Study Material
- There is no truth in the concept that one needs to prepare from as many guide books as they can to ensure they get good marks. More than the quantity, it is the relevance of the books that you refer which counts.
- Taking NCERT as the Bible, only choose reference books that cover the entire NEET Syllabus and are as per NEET Pattern.
3. Prepare a Time Table
- Prepare a customize timetable which allows you to devote time to topics and subjects as per your weaknesses and strengths.
- Set your daily, weekly and monthly topic targets on the basis of priority/weightage.
- Make renewed lists of all the topics that are pending from time to time.
- Spare ample time for revision towards the end.
4. Solve Previous Year Papers
- It is imperative that candidates solve as many mock tests and sample papers as they can in the months leading upto the exam.
- Regularly practicing with the help of sample papers and mock tests will provide you insights into the type of questions that will be asked, marking scheme and time duration.
- You will be able to know the duration it takes to cover different types of questions and develop an appropriate time-management strategy for the exam.
Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
