How can other state students appearing for exam get seat allotment
For colleges, who has some of their seats allocated to the home state generally have a fixed number of seat for home state and other state. The seats for other state students gets filled as per rank basis of the other state student.
seats are alloted on the basis of quota ,since you are not asking about a particular college, students residing in the same state have more chance of getting into colllege as they have state quota but that doesn't mean outsider can't get seat in college, outsider have a specific quota for selection hope you find your answer
