Hello Fathima,

There are several entrance exams through which you can get admission in BSc agriculture. The most known all India entrance exam for agriculture is AIEEA ICAR. By qualifying in ICAR you can get a chance to get admission in various agricultural colleges throughout India.

About AIEEA ICAR

AIEEA UG (All India Entrance Examination for Admission for under graduation) is mainly conducted once in every year by ICAR(Indian Council of Agriculture Research) for the candidates seeking admission in Agriculture courses in various Universities if India. YOU should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks to fill the application form.

The admission procedure is mainly based on the score and merit list of the student who has qualified in the examination. While the qualifying mark for the general category students is 50% while for the SC and ST students it is 40%. The cutoff rank or the opening and closing rank for different colleges carry with the academic year. You can simply search for it and can relate it.

This year the registration process is going to start on the month of April while the examination will be in May. But as the confirm date is still not out, you can refer to the official website for more info.

Other examinations-:

KEAM

AP EAMCET

KCET

JCECE

OUAT and etc

These are mainly some state-level examinations for the admission in BSc agriculture.

As you have asked the difference between bsc agriculture and bsc honors agriculture.....so let me tell you that both are same thing. In this career path agriculture subject is your honors or the core paper. You can choose some generic subjects along with it.

So these are all the information for you. If you need more about this then feel free to ask.

Thank you

Hey ,
It all depends on which college you study . B.tech Agri and Bsc (ag ) are to separate independent branches . Before venturing into any of the two you , try to find your interest , like you get interest on technology or farming . Next thing is if you study at a self fianancing  college , go for Bsc (ag ) . Probably you will have more scope as compared to b.tech Agri . If it's a government college it will all depend on your merit to get a government job .
Here are the job opportunities .
Bsc (ag ) .
Agri loan officer
Production manager
Farm manager
Research officer
Quality assurance officer .
B.tech Agri -
Reserch scientist
Lecturer
Field application engineer
Agriculture engineer
Irrigation engineer
Greenhouse manager etc ..

So eyeing to the prospectus of government job Bsc (ag ) is a better career option .

I hope this will help
Thank you
