Hi Avinash Singh,
This is the very best time to start preparing for NEET, as by this time, you are having a sufficient amount of time to prepare well without any stress and the productivity is maximum in these situations.
Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET without Coaching.
- Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
- Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
- Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
- Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
- Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
- Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat them.
- Never give up even at your low time.
- Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
- Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.
NCERT is must to do for all subjects.
Apart from it their are reference books as i have listed down.
These are some objective books other than NCERT that students should refer to prepare for NEET:
Biology:
Objective Biology by Dinesh, AIIMS Explorer by MTG publication, Trueman’s Objective Biology
Physics:
Physics for Medical Entrance Examinations by D.C Pandey (Arihant Publications)
Chemistry:
Objective Chemistry (Volume 1 and 2) by Arihant publications
All the Best.
To be frank i think its a bit diificult to get into te ranklist of NEET without coaching....but as the saying goes, nothing is impossible, right?? So the best thing u have to do is to study ur NCERT textbooks, most importantly biology.About 95 percent of the questions in NEET biolgy are direct sentences from the text book.So be sure of not loosing any marks in that part. NEXT, for physics and chemistry,u have to be well versed with many types of problems. This part can be helped with books like ARIHANT,DINESH OR PRADEEP'S guides.Do buy any of those and start practising as much as u can...
I hope ur efforts will be fruitful...all the very best to u!!
So if u are ready to work daily than it's not going to be a tough task for u .
Just start it with ncert and do ur work regularly .
Make ur time table on ur own and follow it strictly no loop holes should be there in ur time table .
Divide ur time between the subjects according to u .
U must be knowing it that which subject needs more time from u because only u know urself completely .
Most important is that u have to do ur work daily never try to leave it on tomorrow because this will create work load on u with which u won't be able to deal later .
U will get really good marks in boards by doing ur ncert only and for NEET along with ncert u will have to do an mcq book .
Specially for physics because physics needs a lots of practice .
For biology u can buy - GRB or dinesh
Chemistry - GRB
Physics - GRB or arihant
And all the very best for ur exams
Let me know if u have any other query I would be happy to help
So firstly u will have to clear all your concepts and do all the ncert questions u can leave the exercise questions in physics because they are a bit tough for medical students ( we don't need to do them ) .
Then u must be practicing lots of questions it depends on u that which book u choose but u must do it all the questions in it .
Try to solve each and every question by urself first try it atleast 5-6 times only then ask it from from ur teacher .
Even ncert is enough for reference
For the boards, practice the questions givn at tye end of each chapters...and for neet do many MCQ problems from books like Arihant,Dinesh or Pradeep's.
Hope this helps u....all the bst!!
Ncert is best + you can join some dlp course provided by many institutes
Solve many mcq . it helps a lot
And if you study well for neet , you need to worry about boards as if concepts are clear then you can easily sail through it
I hope it helps
All the very best
Hi Avinash
SITUATION 1: YOU ARE IN GRADE 11
You can focus on NEET preparation primarily. Ensure that you are thorough with the NCERT prescribed textbooks, so that you have a strong foundation to tackle the questions. Then follow one reference book, so that you don't get confused with the syllabus as every book has a different presentation of concepts. Few books that you can follow to develop conceptual understanding:
- PHYSICS: H C Verma's Concepts of Physics, Modern ABC's textbook
- CHEMISTRY: Modern ABC's textbook
- BIOLOGY: Dinesh's textbook
For MCQs practice, I suggest Pradeep's Objective textbooks for all 3 subjects.
SITUATION 2: YOU ARE IN GRADE 12
You probably would have finished NEET preparation for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, which means preparation for these 3 subjects for writing Boards are over. This leaves the other two subjects to work on. You can continue your NEET preparation on weekends and start preparing for Boards soon by solving previous question papers as they are repeated for Boards and to develop your presentation and time management skills.
After Boards are over, continuously revise the portion and solve papers in a mock exam format towards the end of your preparation. Analyse them as well; outlining the strengths and weaknesses. The questions for NEET are never repeated, the agenda is to develop time management skills
Common advice: Plan your studies. Make a schedule of the topics you want to complete for the particular day, so that you don't waste time on deciding what to do. Don't keep the schedule rigid. Ensure that you are enjoying from time to time. Maintain good health as well.
Hope this answers your question

As you have not mentioned you in 11th or 12th..supposing you are in 11...so you will be attempting NEET UG 2019, which is around 1yr and 6 months from now...so you have to make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....you have to devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.
BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books
Biology -
Truemans Biology Vol. 1 & 2
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Pradeep Publications Biology
Physics -
Concept of physics by H C Verma
Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep
Objective physics by DC Pandey
Chemistry -
Arihant Organic Chemistry
Dinesh Chemistry Inorganic
Physical Chemistry by O P Tandon
Objective NCERT at your fingertips Chemistry by MTG
Hope this helps!....BEST OF LUCK
