IIEST Shibpur is a participating institute of JOSAA as each eligible candidate shall be required to appear and to qualify at a written test (JEE Main 2018) conducted by the CBSE. Candidates who reach qualifying standard at the written test will be offered admission by Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA in order of merit through online choice filling and multiple rounds of allocations.
The official eligibility for the same is given below -
"(i) The candidate is within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) examination of respective stream and Board. (ii) The candidate has secured minimum 75% (for GEN or OBC-NCL) or a minimum 65 % (for SC, ST or PwD) of aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination of respective stream and Board."
