Dear Sohail, FCC or the Face centres cubic and Hexagonal close packed structures both have a packing factor of 0.74, consists of closely packed planes of atoms and have a coordination number of 12. That is where the similarities end. The main difference between these 2 is the stacking sequence. The HCP layers cycle among 2 equal shifted  positions whereas with FCC, it is 3 positions. With HCPH each sphere contacts with 6 neighboured spheres.  The fcc metals are ductile than the HCP metals.
