In order to apply for B.Tech Information Science and Engineering, you need to appear for JEE Main examination. Through your rank in this exam, you can go through the counselling process to apply for this stream. In some colleges,  the admission can be merit-based too, instead of entrance exam. If you qualify for JEE Advanced exam on the basis of JEE Main score, you can apply for this stream in IIT.

According to the eligibility criteria to apply in this stream, you need to pass 10+2 with Science stream and an aggregate of 60 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognised board. Other exams are WBJEE, COMEDK, MHT CET, BITSAT, SRMJEEE, VITEEE on the basis of which you can apply for this course.

Some top colleges in this course are Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, NIT Trichy, IIT Varanasi, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, ICT Mumbai.
