For admission in NITs and IIT firstly you have to face the JEE main and JEE advanced exam.you can only appear in JEE advanced if you are able to clear the cut off in main in your respective category.
You can apply for IIT thorugh your JEE advanced rank and for NITs with JEE main rank.
After results counseling process starts you can register yourself there and wait for the college allotment in respective rounds .
All the best.
I m considering you have given both of your exam of jee i.e jee mains and jee advance you will get admission into nits with your jee mains score and iits with your jee advance score.
After your results are out josaa starts with his potal of councelling for the candidates of jee to apply for the desired college and branch they want . So you can there option for n number of colleges you want to get admission into with your desired branch the portal will consist of both iits and nits .
Now lock your choices as per your desired order the favourite college of yours would be on top and then so onn after locking your choices you will get the college in which your rank is below its closing cutoff.
Hope it helps!!!
Hi there!!! Jee is held in two rounds: mains and Advanced. First round is mains whose results are used for admission in NITs and then the next round is Advanced whose results are used for admission in IITs. The admission process is done by an authority called as josaa and you have to register on their official website for counselling and then through that whole counselling process you can get admission into NITs and IITs. Hope this helps.
