You should be self motivated. Confidence is the key point if you want to crack IIT exam.
If your concepts and fundamentals are all clear then you can easily solve mock test series.
You can do one thing to gain confidence start with MCQs and chapter-wise test, once you are doing well you can go for complete mock test series.

Mock test series are very important to solve as you will get to know your strength and weakness and you can work upon them accordingly.
