Hello aspirant,
I would like to tell you that the only way to make your Organic Chemistry Strong enough for JEE Examination and boards, is to start practicing the mechanisms and visualizing the chapters.
Further, below are some tips that I can give it to you that would help you to make your Organic Chemistry much stronger for JEE as well as boards examination :
- Try to understand mechanisms of the reactions (not all, only important ones). This helps in memorizing similar types of reactions in one go.
- Need not cram all the reactions and concepts. Look up for past JEE papers and observe the trends. There must be some reactions in your books that are never taught/asked. They can be left and ignored.
- A flowchart of reactions can be drawn on sheets of papers. Those sheets should be looked upon regularly so that the chart gets memorized easily. However I was comfortable with the conventional method.
- Keep thinking of reactions and mechanisms in your free time. Helps in revision.
- Remove any kind of fear from mind. Useless fear hampers your ability to understand and enjoy the topics.
Further, below are some books on chemistry that could help you to understand the organic chemistry portion much better :
Organic Chemistry, Morrison and Boyd
Concise Inorganic Chemistry, J. D. Lee Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations, R. C. Mukherjee
