NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
NEET examination is conducted for admissions to MBBS, BDS and an addition, this year, AYUSH courses. This means that admissions to these courses all over India will be done according to the marks attained in the examination. The only exception would be AIIMS and JIPMER. These institutions conduct their own examination to enroll meritorious students for their courses.
After the results of the examination are out, a rank list is made along with a percentile score. Based on this rank list, you will be eligible to enroll in the courses, provided you have a good score. Admissions also depend upon the Quota you are applying for and the category to which you belong to. This is because the NEET cut-offs are different for each category.
Nevertheless, you have to answer only NEET examination to get admissions to the said courses in India.
For admission to medical colleges all over India, the rank of NEET is considered. Higher the rank, higher the merit, the student gets to select a medical college of his choice. AIIMS and JIPMER conduct their own exams for admission in their medical colleges.
Good luck to you!
