Hello
Forests play an important role for our survival. Forests are considered as the backbone of the ecosystem. Forests provide us with fresh air to breathe and absorbs carbon dioxide. Forests absorb harmful greenhouse gasses that produce climate change. Forests provide habitats to diverse animal species.
Forests prevent soil erosion, the roots of the trees hold the soil together educing or slowing the amount of erosion. This becomes of more importance specially incase of a flash flood where They help the ground absorb most of the water. Also farming near a forest is useful as the forests can also serve as a windbreak, providing a buffer for wind-sensitive crops. So forests serve as a buffer in natural disasters like flood, severe winds and rainfalls.
There are even more important benefits of forests like providing us with food, timber, clean water, etc. Forests also create a lot of job opportunities.
So when we cut away the trees, the entire ecosystem begins to fall apart, with dire consequences for all of us. So it us upto us to stand against deforestation
Good Luck
