Hello Dear,

Mahatma Gandhi as we know him, is a Man of action who won the world by his actions of Ahimsa and fought through this would with his soul spirit and body.

The Gandhi's were Vaishnavas, and ofcourse they were followers of vegetarianism. He was opossed to meat eating from beginning but it was his vow and confidence that made him give up milk and milk products and thus, brought him close to becoming a vegan. He spread his thoughts and inspired this in would wherever he travelled. When he left England he also vowed to not touch Wine, women, meat. This caused him much trouble than he even thought of. But he faced many problems finding a pure vegetarian restaurant where he could eat.

For more informations about him, read some articles on Gandhi there are also some novels on his life beliefs. You will know better about him in those novels and stories.

Hope you got your answer. Good luck!!
