The placements in this college are good over the years. Most of the students got placed in the college placements. Last year, the highest package offered by Hindustan Unilever to a boy student was 9 LPA. Most of the students got placed in companies like TCS and Wipro. Most of the students got placed in the companies from the IT-sector in other states.

The infrastructure of the college is very much appreciable. This year, a new academic building has been inaugurated. All the core departments and other branches have got separate buildings with modern lab facilities. The library is good which consists of all the books related to the course. The academic building is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility.

  The college has five engineering branches, and they are electrical, mechanical, information technology, computer science, electronics and communications. It also has departments like physics, chemistry, and maths. All the departments have good faculty members who are doing their job correctly. It also has M.Tech and MCA as the masters degree.

Many events like teachers day, freshers party, and the most amazing annual techno-cultural fest named Espectro are organised throughout the year.

The  ECE branch is very good in kalyani govt college. Though the maximum packages are upto 9 lakhs only and the average being 1-3 lakhs it has good faculty members and teaching staff. It also has good placements if you have scored good cgpa in your final semester. Even the equipments of the lab are of good quality and give precise measurements.
