Mnnit founded in 1962 and its oldest branch is mechanical .It is now one of top nit’s due its teachers hard dedication and student’s efforts.Coming to your question ,i will not say to you that it’s good ..just because i am studying here.I will present you number of facts and after that its your choice.

1.INFRASTRUCTURE: Being a govt. and old college infrastructure is not comparable to new good colleges like bits pilani etc but have enough to support all the facilities.The Institute provides modernized Lecture Halls, well equipped departmental Labs, seminar room, computer centre and Library in support of smooth running of classes of various M.Tech (Part- Time) programs, Faculty Development programs, Conferences/Seminars, Short Term Courses & Training programs.

2.ADMISSION PROCEDURE: Since it recruit through all india entrance test of jee .To get good branch like(mech,cs,civil) your rank should be < 10000(approx).

4.EDUCATION QUALITY : Quality of teaching is very good ..most faculty had their phd from iit’s and some foreign .They will teach you real life engineering approach to solve problems.

5.PLACEMENTS: .mnnit cs /it branch got placed just in few initial months of final year .Mech/civil guys usually dont sit for placement coz they wanna join some psu’s /ies etc.Overall if u look approx 70% of total batch get placed till the end of may . If you opt for some branches like biotech then you dont have any choice but look for consultancies etc.
