Placements in the college are quite good. Placement of mechanical engineering in CUSAT, is just like any other branches. By this I mean, you will get TCS, Accenture, Cognizant etc. The core placements were less compared to placements in IT sector in the year 2017.

Apart from this, students who are the members of the ISHRAE club gets umpteen opportunities to sit for placement drive at Banglore. (Godrej, Daikin, Voltas to name a few). The placement figure is not very pleasant to hear but yes if you have worked hard then you will absolutely get placed. If you know a little bit of coding then some of the software companies like TCS, Infosys will recruit you.

Many companies visit the college for placements. Minimum 70-80 companies came to recruit students in the year 2018. The packages offered are also quite good. The average package offered is 6-8 lacs per annum. Basically, it depends on the CGPA of students. Efforts are being made by the college in order to start a placement cell and hope it will be available soon. Most of the passed out students have managed to find jobs on their own.

Eligibility Criteria :

• The aspirants seeking admission in the UG programmes need to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subject, from a recoganised board.
• The aspirants seeking admission in the post graduate PG programmes need to complete their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subject, from a recoganised university.

Admission Procedure :

• CUSAT University conducts admissions for all the levels of courses offered at the university. These admissions are conducted on the basis of online Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) or online Lateral Entry Test (LET) or Departmental Admission Test (CUSAT DAT), by the University.
• The university also accepts GATE and MAT/CAT scores for admissions in Mtech and MBA courses.
