How good is Production and industrial engineering M.tech in IIT Indore ? Is it worth taking admission there ?

IITs have always been achieving excellence and providing the best education to the students right from the when it was established.One of these is IIT Indore which was established in Madhya Pradesh by the Government of India in the year of 2009,

Now for your kind information IIT Indore does not have the Production and Industrial Engineering curriculum.

Production and Industrial Engineering(M.Tech) is a two year post graduation course in the field of industrial engineering.

The IITs which provide admissions for this department is:-

IIT Bombay

IIT Kharagpur

IIT Delhi

IIT Chennai

Among them as per reviews IIT Delhi can be a good institute to study for production and industrial engineering.

Industrial engineering is an engineering profession that is concerned with the optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations by developing, improving and implementing integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy and materials. Yes It Is Good To Take Admission in industrial engineering , In Mtech In IIT Indore. college have many awards. Organizations such as TATA (all sectors, Motors, Steel, Communications etc.), Reliance Industries Ltd., Maruti Udyog, etc. hire such postgraduates, and the average annual salary offered in India to such professionals ranges between INR 2.5 and 6 Lacs.

Production and Industrial Engineering is a relatively less preferred branch. IIT Indore is no doubt a good college. If you have an option of core branch in lower ranked IITs or in BITS or top-ranked NITs, then I would suggest you to take that. If you do not wish to study after engineering, you'll have a tough time getting placed in any IIT with that branch.

A production engineer typically has a wide knowledge of engineering practices and is aware of the management challenges related to production . Production Engineer Responsibilities and Duties . Plan and coordinate production engineering processes on daily basis to produce high quality products. Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production . Production engineering syllabus includes subjects like Machining Science , Welding, CAD/CIM/CAM, Designing of tools, Mechatronics & management , Engineering Materials and so on.
