How good is the radiology department in Gandhi medical college bhopal?
Hello Aspirant
Gandhi Medical College(GMC) is a public/government college. It is an autonomous institution. It is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI).
The radiology department of the college is well-equipped and updated. There is a special clinical research wing for Radio Diagnosis. The department has well-qualified professors and instructors. The association of the department with other established institutions leads to a lot of exposure for the students. Thus the department is good. It also includes a lot of research component.
The college has many facilities such as Auditorium, Sports Complex, Skill Lab, a very diverse Library. The college also has counseling services to properly guide the students.
One of the reasons for a proper radiology department is the courses that are offered by the college in this area –
1. MD Radio Diagnosis, which is a two-year full-time postgraduate course.
2. Diploma in Radiodiagnosis, which is a two-year full-time postgraduate diploma course
3. Paramedical certificate in X-Ray Radiographer, which is a one-year full-time course
4. Paramedical diploma course in X-Ray Radiographer, which is a two-year full-time course
All these courses have access to the facilities of the radiology laboratories and resources. You can take admission in any of these resources.
Studying in this college has one major advantage and that is recruitment. The college is associated with many hospitals such as Hamidia Hospital, Kamla Nehru Hospital, and Sultania Zanana Hospital and also with many institutions such as Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and National Institue for Research in Environmental Health. It might be a bit tough to get a job but the job holds many perks as it is a government job.
If you are planning to take admission in this college, then you should hurry up as the forms are already open and the closing date is around the second week of March. The process of admission requires a score of NEET. The cutoff marks for NEET 2018 were 119 for the unreserved category.
The radiology departments of the top medical colleges of the country are also very good. You can look for the courses in radiology in institutions such as All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) (New Delhi), Christian Medical College (Vellore), Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi).
I hope you get the college and the course that you are looking for.
I also hope that your doubts have been addressed. If you have any questions, then please ask in the comment section.
