Hi aspirant,
Vellore institute of technology which is situated in Tamil Nadu is one of the leading colleges in India where a student can get a degree in engineering. The college has top notch facilities in the country which brings out the best from every student. The entrance exam which is VITEEE is ofcourse hard but very rewarding if cracked. The college fees are also little high but managable in comparison to other colleges in the country. In my honest opinion, the college is worth attending for a candidate who wants to get a good and high package job in engineering. Hard work and determination is a must and with that this college will definetely provide you with the best of facilities.
Thank you.
College Comparison based on Courses, Placement, Rank, Fee
Hello, Jonathan!
VIT provides good facilities, infrastructure and placement.
Placements : Placements in the CS and IT departments are amazing, compared to NITs. But in the lower branches, placements are not much great. Students from the mechanical branch rarely get a job in a core company, but most of them end up getting placed in IT companies. Students are offered a dream and super dream salary packages. The highest salary package offered was around 35-40 LPA, and the average salary package offered is good and was around 5.5 LPA.
Infrastructure : The campus is huge. You will have to walk a lot, and you will probably lose weight in the first year. Shuttle buses and vans are available on the campus, but when you are late for class, it's usually hard to find one. Wi-Fi is good but not available at 12:30 am in the night. Labs are good, but classrooms are normal. Mess food is average, but it is a lot better than other colleges.
Faculty : Most of the teachers are PhD holders and well-qualified. Some of them are highly knowledgeable, but some teachers don't know anything about the subject. Some highly knowledgeable teachers are also bad at teaching, as they can't get the ideas to teach students. There are smart classrooms in almost all the classes, and they are used by teachers, to show slides. Many teams, clubs, and chapters are available, which provide good exposure to the students.
Other : People here are not broad-minded. Students are only allowed to shake hands. Guards and security are very non-cooperative and often trouble the students for no reason. The fests are good, but boys and girls are divided by huge barriers which cannot be crossed.
