Institute of Chartered Accountants has updated its educational plan and replaced entrance level CPC (Common Proficiency Course) with the CA Foundation making it more challenging for the upcoming students. Students can seek this course after the 12th examination. You can get register for the entrance test CA Foundation appearing in the 12th exams and will be qualified to sit in the Foundation examination after completing the class 12th examinations constituted by law or recognized by the Central Government.
CA Foundation comprises of four subjects. The paper pattern of two of which will be subjective and two will be objective. One paper in the objective paper pattern includes Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and Statistics. Negative checking will be done in the objective papers. However, for each wrong answer, just ¼ marks will be deducted and each right solution will help you in obtaining one mark.
Students are required to get 40% marks in every single subject and 50% in total of all the subjects to clear this exam. Thus, if you need to clear this test and get enter into the Chartered Accountancy course you should clear this paper also, by getting at least 40% marks.
Students who had maths in the senior secondary would get the advantage to break the entrance level of Chartered Accountancy course i.e. CA Foundation. As the course of Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Business statistics are almost related to what you have studied in your high school. Thus, you will get a benefit or say alleviation from preparing one subject.
