You need to know your syllabus and understand the exam pattern. Make a plan and stick to it. Make a note of the books to refer from and practise as many mock tests or sample papers as you can.

Divide the syllabus into Class 11 and Class 12 and the topics as "Need to Learn", "Weak" and "Strong". Now it is important to check the weightage of each topic. In Physics, Modern Physics take the top slot with 5 questions. Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Current Electricity, Elcetrostatics get 3 questions each. JEE Main exam is a tough exam as the competition is high and syllabus is vast. To crack the exam proper preparation with good practice and revision is required. I'll recommend you to cover the important topics first and practice as many questions as possible. To start with list down all the topics you are required to cover and identify your strong and weak areas. Pick up the weak topics first and clear their concepts first and gradually pick up the strong areas and give proper time for practice. Prepare a schedule for yourself and divide the number of days in such a way that you get sufficient time before the exam to give a revision to all topics.
